Expeditions

Land, sea and the gateway to Antarctica — every way to explore the sub-Antarctic edge of the world.

Pre- and post-Antarctica

Before and after the ice

  • Depending on your expedition
  • All year round
  • Base in Puerto Williams

Puerto Williams is the last port before the Drake, and the first on the way back. Errante works as a land base for those crossing to Antarctica: a real bed, a hot meal and time to settle your body before or after the passage. And while you're here, it's natural to add the voyage to the glaciers of the Darwin Range, which sails from this very channel.

Flagship trek

Dientes de Navarino Circuit Trek

  • 6 days / 5 nights
  • Small groups
  • Oct – Apr

Six days walking the southernmost circuit on the planet, among granite peaks, high lagoons and peat bogs. Three nights are spent camping in the mountains; the first and last are at the lodge, which is also where the route begins and ends.

The refuge

The table and the rest

  • 11 rooms
  • Lenga wood
  • Onashaga view

Not all of the trip happens outside. The dining room faces the channel, the bar fills up when people come down from the mountain and the hot tubs are lit at sunset. There are eleven rooms with a view of the Beagle, in a lenga-wood house built for staying a good while.
